Taymar Reid
Barbadian Artist · Acrylic & Charcoal Studies
Taymar Reid is a Barbadian artist with over 12 years of artistic experience in acrylic and charcoal studies. Her art reflects a life richly lived: layered, textured, and deeply expressive.
Her journey into the art world began later than most, but not by accident. It is grounded in years of observation, lived experience, and a persistent drive to translate feeling into form.
Each piece reflects emergence: seeing, understanding, and giving voice to what might otherwise remain unseen. Taymar creates from a place of discovery rather than the pressure of perfection, using art as proof that it is never too late to discover your voice and bring imagination to life.
Acrylic and charcoal allow her to work between two powerful visual languages. Charcoal brings depth and honesty; acrylic introduces life, energy, and movement. Together they create a balance between stillness and motion, strength and vulnerability.
Whether working on large-scale canvas or intimate studies, Taymar creates art that connects, reflects, and lingers long after the first glance.
Tracey Mottley
Barbadian Amateur Artist · Charcoal Portraiture
Tracey Mottley is a Barbadian amateur artist who captures the essence of the human spirit through intimate charcoal portraits.
Her art journey began in 2022 after a conversation about finding a hobby in retirement. That conversation led her to discover, and fall in love with, the expressive possibilities of charcoal.
Driven by a desire to preserve and honor human expression, Tracey focuses on mood, gesture, and the subtleties of light and shadow to reveal personality and lived experience.
Although not formally trained, she has developed a quiet and disciplined practice. Her work was exhibited for the first time at the Hayman’s Art Festival in 2025 and 2026.
As a new artist, Tracey is eager to explore expanded techniques, larger-scale work, collaborative projects, commissions, and group shows.
